Waste Awareness Taster Session for Rochdale Businesses

Groundwork is working with the Rochdale Development Agency to host a waste awareness taster session to Rochdale based businesses.

Background

Inefficient use of resources is one of the key driving forces behind the climate emergency. Within a business, inefficient use of resources can result in high volumes of waste and high waste disposal costs.

With government figures estimating that almost a fifth of all waste in England is generated by businesses, this taster session looks at how businesses can help reduce their impact on the planet through reviewing their waste processes, exploring potential cost savings and covering legislative requirements (waste duty of care).

What will your business gain from attending this event?

  • Free waste training taster from a sustainable business consultant
  • Learn how businesses across GM are improving waste practices and saving money
  • A chance to network with likeminded people to discuss solutions for waste issues

Who is this event for?

This business is exclusive to businesses based in Rochdale borough in Greater Manchester. It will be particularly useful for businesses who are in the process of reviewing their waste management, have high waste costs or produce large volumes of waste. SHEQ managers, facilities managers, directors or anyone responsible for waste disposal in a business is welcome to attend.
