What is the Green Dragon Environmental Accreditation?
Green Dragon is the perfect way to demonstrate your business’s commitment to the environment and is a UKAS accredited environmental standard. Â
Green Dragon offers an achievable, cost effective route to demonstrating the sustainability of your organisation.
The Standard is awarded to organisations and businesses supporting them to understand, monitor and control their impacts on the environment. Green Dragon auditing is operated on a stage based system, allowing your business to progress in your own time and in line with your needs and requirements through levels 1-5, starting at any point. At Level 5 the Green Dragon standard is equivalent to ISO 14001.

Levels of Accreditation
The environmental accreditation levels for Green Dragon are as follows:
- Level 1: Your business has committed to an Environmental Management System
- Level 2: Your business understands your environmental responsibilities
- Level 3: Your business manages environmental impacts
- Level 4: Your business has an Environmental Management Programme in place
- Level 5: Your business is committed to continual environmental improvement
Getting Started
- Choose from the 5 levels of the Standard (from making simple improvements, right up to ISO 14001 equivalent)
- Set up an environmental management system
- Apply for an assessment
- Gain your certificate and assure your customers, clients and staff that you are working to a recognised environmental standard
Certification lasts one year. As a UKAS Accredited Inspection Body we guarantee that the accreditation process is carried out to international standards, in a competent and impartial manner, by suitably qualified and experienced auditors.
